About Don't Cry, My Mother
She has been abandoned from her husband and then relies upon only daughter. She sacrifices herself in every way to bring up her daughter well, for example working as a manageress at Kisaeng house (Korean style restaurant), and let her daughter graduate university. Her daughter, however, treats mother inhospitably. What is worse, when her daughter is declined in marriage talks, she leaves home. She becomes disappointed to become sick. Later, her daughter realizes her wrong doing and returns to home, but she has already died.
