About Strong Will of Cut Fingers
Wu Jung-Shin infected with leprosy in his old age recalls his wife who died of leprosy. Director Park of Jayuwon, a leper house where Wu stays, is a vicious man stealing relief goods for lepers. Wu entreats several times but nothing changes. Then, he goes with lepers to an inhabited island where he lived with his wife before. They reclaim the wasteland. But Director Park appears and disturbs them at the time when barley sprouts come out. Wu throws down and dies struggling against him. Lepers shocked by his death come to have a strong will and pledge themselves to live new lives.
