About Outsiders
At an apartment town along the Han River, a high school teacher named Kwak Seung-Yeob, a prostitute named Ma Keum-Ja, a painter named Jang Hyeon-Wuk and Chang's wife (maiden name : Han Keum-Ok), the owner of toy shop, live together at the same apartment. On the other hand, a pigeon, which has grown up by Oh Eun-Ju who gets married to a Japanese business man temporarily while he visits Korea for business and lives at the apartment opposite to the Han river, flies to Kwak's apartment so that both Kwak and Oh become friendly. Ma is forced to pay rent charge of the apartment more by real estate agent's plot, Han suffers from great difficulties in operating her toy shop by the plot of female owner of a beauty saloon. Jang fails in the painting, but spends time at the same bed one night with Ma while quarreling and then commits suicide by throwing himself into the Han River. When Ma leaves the apartment, Han sells the properties and gives Ma the money, and then also commits suicide like her husband (Jang). Oh becomes a female Buddhist priest, and Kwak also leaves the apartment.
