About Love and Hatred
It is Koryo dynasty. A porcelain maker Yang-Myeong is ordered to depart to China leaving behind his wife Kong-Nyeo and his daughter Dal. Kong-Nyeo and Dal become buddhist nuns after they are raped by Chinese who reigned Koryo in those period. Yang-Myeong learns the tragic story of his family as soon as he comes back from China. He just concentrates on making porcelains since then. Meanwhile Kong-Nyeo sends her daughter to Yang-Myeong, and she throw herself into the fire of kiln. Her sacrifice is resulted in a mysterious blue in Koryo Cheong Ja porcelain, one of the great masterpieces of art.
