Though he graduated a law school, Kim Young-Su, who is wanted by the police, desperately tries to feel the soul of a man called 'Jeon Tae-Il' from his vague image and fixed lump of idea. Reading his diary which was handed him over by Jeon Tae-Il's mother, Young-Su collects the testimonies of those who knew the man and makes efforts to revive the labor's short life and death like a flame. As he inquires his life deeper and deeper, Kim Young-Su gets to keen on Jeon Tae-Il and overlap his reality into Jeon Tae-Il. These works become the only exit of hope that Kim Young-Su can find in this dark historical situation. But as Tae-Il's life was getting near to the history, he was asked to take decisive action, Kim Young-Su's private life also has to goo through a ceremony of self-sacrifice. To him there is Jeong-Sun who scales 'practice of love' and 'love of practice'.
