This is a film made from a story of an elementary school student. He won the Japanese Governor-general's Prize at the public contest for best writing works which was held by the Kyeong-il Newspaper for Elementary School Student attached to Kyeong-sung Daily Newspaper. His parents were away to sell brass spoons as peddlers and his grandmother was sick in bed. Under those circumstances, he went through a lot of troubles for school tuition. Fortunately he could prepare the tuition with his aunt's help and his classmates decided to collect money for him. Furthermore his parents came back home from peddling and promised him that they would never fail to prepare his tuition from then on.
