About Invited Guests, The
In 1784, the Catholicism had been firstly introduced to Korea. Lee Seung-Hun relays gospel to the people together with the brothers of Jeong Yak-Jong and Jeong Yak-Yong, but are maltreated as a means of partisan fight. Both Ha-Sang and Jeong-Hye gather the believers, who have been dispersed throughout the nation to avoid torture and supervision, and expand the religion's power. Lee Hang-Ju, who is a son of the mistress of vice prime minister Lee Ji-Yeon, rescues Jeong-Hye, who has been fallen in risk, and loves her at the first glance. At first, both Hang-Ju and Jeong-Hye were originally engaged by their parents, but the one was executed on the charge of believing the religion, while the other has been promoted to the minister. Thus, both cannot become friendly. Jeong-Hye avoids the love for the sake of the truth and evangel, while Hang-Ju is eager to love her. When a lot of catholic believers and priests die of the government suppression, Hang-Ju makes up his mind to believe in the Catholicism.
