About When Adam Opens His Eyes
I(Adam) failed to enter a college. At 19 years old. What I wanted to have then were a typewriter, a collection of Munch's paintings and a turn table that can be linked with a portable radio in order to listen to music. Those were the only things that I tried to get from the world. On the last day of college entrance examination, I had the last examination to be grown-up with my girl friend called Eun-Seon whom I met during high school days. We went into a hotel where we made love putting our certificates for exam. Without finding particular meaning in life, I went to a rock cafe often with a friend of mine Sam-Su. It was really funny to look at those who come in and out there. There I met a 3rd grader of high school named Hyeon-Jae. With different purpose each other, we kept our physical relationship. She reminded me a girl of a Munch's painting called 'Adolescence' who is frail but provoking. I found something inside of myself from her. Early in summer, I got the Munch's painting collection as reward for being a nude model for a middle aged painter and making love to him. I got a turn table too from an owner of an audio shop who is a homosexual and was in fond of me after I became his sexual partner. Hyeon-Jae sent me a typewriter. Thus my dreams came true. Hyeon-Jae committed suicide by jumping down.......
