About Pierrot and Chrysanthemum
Attorney Kang Shin-Jung feels interest in a spy Lim Su-Myeong because of his silence. Lim Su-Myeong is the youngest son of fallen landowner. Since his two brothers have gone to the North Korea, he suffers from the police and goes to the North Korea in order to know the true aspect of Communism. Thus, his third brother is to look after his mother but the three brothers come to experience troubles for they have come from the South. This while, Sohn Jeong-Ja who has gone to the North together with the two brothers, comes down to the South as a spy and gets around in secret with the third brother's house as her hideout. But she gives herself to the police and convert and his mother and brother commit suicide. Lim Su-Myeong becomes a spy in order to assassinate Sohn Jeong-Ja but he finds that she has already died. Moved by his old lover Ju Young-Suk's humanity, he has her to report him to the police so as to let her receive the reward. In the end, Lim Su-Myeong refuses to give exact statement and only wants to get a bundle of yellow chrysanthemum from Young-Suk.
