About the middle of Japanese occupation, a gentry Jang Se-Bong reaches Um Mak Gol in Kang Won Do looking for So Dong-Nyeo, a famous kisaeng from Song Do. One day Se-Bong witnesses a junior officer Choi, a local rich and Japanese police officer's cat's paw, false charges on Mr. Kim whose son is fighter for independence and put him in jail. Also he sees him trying to rape Seol-Hee, Mr. Kim's daughter-in-law. Immediately Se-Bong mobilizes Chil-Seong and Jae-Shik and goes to the scene of Choi's crime to violate him. However Se-Bong is entangled in Choi's sly trick. So Dong-Nyeo came to know this happening and allures Choi who is undressed and beaten by villagers in turns. Then she saves Se-Bong with difficulty and leaves for somewhere aimlessly.
