Dear Ms. Park, Gok-Ji:
I am writing to inquire about your script submission procedure. I have always enjoyed the work of both you and your husband and thus, would like to submit a script for your consideration.
I am a new scriptwriter based in Vancouver, Canada and have written a heartfelt and funny story of a young man's struggle for acceptance from his dying, disapproving, Korean father-in-law. Father, I Love You (Abonim Sarangheyo) tells the story of a young man marrying into a Korean family and deals with the universal themes of cross-cultural marriage, love for family, death, faith, and the meaning of life.
Global appeal of these universal themes and the potential international markets should make this project succeed both artistically and financially (most audiences can relate to the experience of having to meet the in-laws for the first time, dealing with family wounds, and coming to terms with death in the family; the story's international settings, multi-ethnic characters from Asia and North America, and its deeply spiritual component will appeal to movie-goers worldwide).
Please reach me at the below contact information so that I may forward a detailed tagline/logline/synopsis for the script. Thank you for your time and attention in this matter.
Sincerely,
Kelvin Wong
